As a couples, elopement, and wedding photographer, there's nothing I love more than an adventure! I recently traveled to Portland, Oregon to capture Ting and Jared's love and it was nothing short of magical. Nestled beneath the towering beauty of St. John's Bridge, Cathedral Park provided the perfect setting for their intimate couples photography session. The two were naturals, and truly made the most of each moment. It was my pleasure to capture their love story!

St. John's Bridge Portland, Oregon

The park’s lush greenery, unique architecture, and serene atmosphere created an unforgettable backdrop for Ting and Jared's photos. The sun gently filtering through the trees cast a golden glow meant for the movie screen. It was truly the perfect romantic setting.

Romantic, Authentic Couples Photography


Ting and Jared wanted a relaxed experience, a couples photo session that captured their relationship without the awkward 'what do I do with my hands' moments. Thankfully, my photography approach combines easy prompts for movement and flow, while ensuring the classic polished and posed portraits are taken too.


The prompts are focused on connection, allowing the two of you to focus on each other while I help tell your story as authentically as possible. Ting and Jared walked, talked, and swayed together as I captured the genuine moments between them. From sharing a laugh and holding hands to gazing lovingly at one another, it was clear how deeply they cared for each other.

Picnic in Cathedral Park | Portland, Oregon

To add another layer of connection to their whimsical day, Ting and Jared packed a blanket for a picnic in the park... or at least the romantic feel of one. They also incorporated props that uniquely reflected their relationship - a bouquet of fresh flowers and two novels, each of their latest reads. Props not only help tell your love story, they also open the door for creative poses. I love when a couple brings items that are special to them.

Travel & Destination Couples Photography

It was so fun to get out of the SoCal desert and travel to Oregon to capture Ting + Jared! The greenery, the architecture, and the love these two shared made the session absolutely perfect.
